"Barbara N. Benneian
1964 - 2021
Barbara Nartouhi Benneian, 57, of Los Angeles, California, passed away
and went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2021.
She was the loving daughter of the late John and Margaret Benneian,
devoted sister of Albert (Sherry) of Phoenix, Arizona, Aaron (Teresa) of
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Armen of Santa Fe, New Mexico and caring aunt
of Henry and Abigail.
Born April 25, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio, she graduated from Brecksville
(Ohio) High School in 1982. She attended Cuyahoga Community College in
Cleveland from 1982 to 1984.
She had a very successful career as an instructor of computer software,
having worked as Manager of Software Training at 20th Century Fox, Lead
Software Instructor for the medical staff at Kaiser Permanente and Cedars-
Sinai Medical Center and most recently at New Horizons Learning Group,
all in the Los Angeles area.
Barbara had many passions and was very creative. She loved travel,
playing guitar, making jewelry, graphic design, American Indian culture,
exploring natural health remedies, animals, martial arts and of course,
being with family and friends. She also had an interest in TV acting and
appeared as an extra in network sitcoms and dramas in the 1990s.
In recent years, Barbara did volunteer work with Special Olympics, the
homeless, animal shelters and helped provide meals on the Oglala Lakota
Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. She was kind, generous,
caring and was always concerned with those less fortunate than her.
Barbara was deeply loved by her family. She will be greatly missed by all
those who knew her heart.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral. Her ashes will be
spread in the Pacific Ocean. An online memorial service is being planned
for later this fall.
Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to Kitt Crusaders, an animal
shelter in Los Angeles that she supported.
