Walter Lawrence Smith III of Palm Desert, California passed away on June 17, 2024, at age 62.  As a conceptual artist in the 1990s, Walter was very involved in the Long Beach, California art scene and later utilized his artistic talent in interior design and web design.  He always loved his walks in nature and was most often accompanied by his beloved cats, Hombre and Buddy.

Walter was predeceased by his parents Dorothea and Walter Smith, Jr., and is survived by his three older sisters and their families. We will miss him dearly and will always smile when remembering him in his younger years devouring a large helping of Mom’s cinnamon oatmeal every morning, carrying his case of Matchbox and Hotwheel cars wherever he went, and insisting that he wear only green socks because green was his favorite color. You will be missed, little brother.
