Alan Wilson Miller

June 17, 1961 - October 02, 2024

Alan Wilson Miller, born June 17, 1961, in Glasgow, Scotland, went home to be with the lord on October 2, 2024, in Los Angeles, California. He is reunited with his parents, Elizabeth Wilson Miller and John Forbes Miller.

Alan is survived by his beloved children, Rachael Leigh Danna and John Michails Miller.  He also leaves his cherished siblings, Carol Lisenby, Christine Peach, and David Miller, as well as his treasured nieces and nephews, Fiona Keen, Leanne Peach, Michael Peach, Craig Martin and Fraser Martin. Alan will also be remembered through his cherished partner Kate Monahan, who he was with over half a decade.

Alan honorably served in the Royal Navy during the early 1980s and was actively involved during the Falkland Islands War. He moved to the United States in the early 1990’s.  He was a commercial real estate broker in Marina Del, California when he stumbled upon a real estate opportunity to co-own a local pub and helped turn it into a live music venue in Santa Monica, California. His love for music and business found him falling into the music management industry for many years, which enabled him to share his love of music, business, creativity and community.

He had a profound love for family and friends, especially his children, cherishing moments spent with them. As an avid golfer and passionate follower of Scottish and British football, he found joy in both playing and watching the game.

Although Alan was proud and loyal to his beautiful home country of Scotland, he embraced the warmth of California, residing in Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica and Woodland Hills, with a brief stay in Texas.  He will be remembered for his appealing looks, intelligence, sense of humor, his  accent, unwavering optimism, his infectious laugh and a zest for life.

A celebration of Alan’s life will be held this Saturday, October 2, 2024 at 2 pm, at The Bridge Church, located at 802 Brooks Street, Sugar Land, Texas, 77478.  A recording of the service will be available. Contact: [email protected] or text: 281-730-3582

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, or for Parkinson’s Research: Give.MichaelJFox.Org

Alan’s spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those who had the privilege to know him.
