Holy is the name of God and blessed is the child that has his own. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. He gave to me the blessing of sons. One, Richard Carl Owens, born on May 31, 1959 at 8:50 pm in New Orleans. God called him Home to rest.
Richard my sweet son your journey here on this earth has come to an end. You are now safe in the arms of the Father. And I can only imagine the joy it must have been for you to be in the presence of God and to be not only with your Heavenly Father but your earthly father who you loved so much and to never have to feel the pain and suffering of this cruel world. The family loved you so much and we'll always carry you in our hearts.
And I, the Mother Ship, although broken, I know my beautiful boy who I will always cherish and love, will be forever protected in the love we both hold so dear. You are finally at peace in the arms of the Father and so I say farewell. One day the old Mother Ship will pull into the banks of Jordan and meet you on that beautiful ship. Until then I will hold you close in my heart.
